These terms cover your use of the Qeva website and the open-source Qeva software. The software itself is licensed under the GNU AGPL-3.0, and that license governs how you may use, modify, and distribute it.
Acceptance
By using this website or the Qeva software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
The software licence
Qeva is free and open-source software distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Your rights to run, study, modify, and redistribute the software are granted by that licence. Where these terms and the AGPL differ regarding the software, the AGPL prevails.
Self-hosting is your responsibility
When you deploy Qeva on your own infrastructure, you are responsible for:
- Securing, configuring, updating, and backing up your instance.
- Complying with the laws and regulations that apply to you and your users.
- Any data you or your users store in it.
Acceptable use of this website
Please do not misuse the website: no attempts to disrupt it, probe it without authorisation, or use it to break the law. Responsible security testing is welcome under our disclosure policy.
Managed hosting
A managed hosting option may be offered in the future. If and when it launches, it will have its own service-specific terms that apply in addition to these.
No warranty
The website and software are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This mirrors the warranty disclaimer in the AGPL.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Qeva project and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the website or software.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date above reflects the latest revision; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
